Description Fred 4-5 Heavy Duty bale grab
The Fred 4-5 Heavy Duty is the largest bale grab in the Fred series by Meijer Holland. This hydraulically operated attachment is designed for transporting four rectangular bales of 90 cm or five bales of 70 cm in a single cycle. Developed for intensive agricultural and contracting use, the unit is suitable for telehandlers, front loaders, wheel loaders, and cranes—depending on the selected mounting system.
The robust construction supports safe handling under high loads and variable field conditions.
Suitable for
Designed for applications requiring high throughput, structural stability and maximum clamping force, the Fred 4-5 Heavy Duty handles four 90 cm bales or five 70 cm bales in horizontal orientation. In forward-tilted position, the grab accommodates up to three bales of 90 cm or four bales of 70 cm. Custom versions are available on request for non-standard bale formats.
The combination of extended claws, reinforced joints, and a stable frame ensures reliable grip—even on compressed, wet or uneven bales. The grab performs reliably under heavy-duty conditions, both in open field work and yard operations.

The Fred 4-5 Heavy Duty bale grab is fitted with reinforced components and wear-resistant materials. Standard configuration includes:
- Twelve specially contoured claws made from high-strength steel
- Two retractable extension sleeves for increased bale capacity
- Removable Ø50 mm load pins with replaceable claw sections
- Three conical sleeves for mounting straight, detachable tines
- Reinforced lower frame corners for added wear resistance
- Hydraulic cylinder with high compression force
- Grease-groove bolt for lubricating pivot points
- Integrated pressure relief valve for hydraulic system protection
Finish: Meijer Holland orange (RAL 2004). Alternative RAL colours available on request.
